Matt Vallis - Personal Trainer based in South Wales

Health and fitness has always played a very important role in my life throughout childhood and into my adult life. The importance for my young family to enjoy being active is one of the main reasons I have now returned to it.

I originally started my career through the health and fitness industry after graduating from university with a BA Hons in Sports Science. I worked and travelled as a personal trainer for one-on-one and group sessions for many years in England, Australia and Wales.

These were some of the happiest and most enjoyable times of my life; the ability to train people in the outdoors in Australia and in small private facilities was something that always stayed with me.

Although my career path slightly changed over the years, I always came back to why I loved that experience so much.

Then during the pandemic there was a chance to re-group, reignite old passions and re-qualify by obtaining my Level 3 CIMSPA in Personal Training & Nutritional Management

This is where mvlifefit began. I wanted to emulate that outdoor/indoor training experience that could be re-created like I had in Australia. My goal continually is to help people on their fitness journey and honestly create a healthier lifestyle and work / life balance for myself and my family.

Whether you’re having a walk up the mountain, or a bike ride with the children- everything is a starting point.

I’m not about refraining from having a life, with full on diets and hardcore training. You must enjoy what you do. It's all about making you a better version of you!

The first step is hard - but ‘keeping it going’ is the hardest part! And at mvlifefit we focus on this positive, sustainable lifestyle change so you stay committed to your goals long after our sessions finish.

I started my new health & fitness journey with Matt around 10 months ago as I needed something to change with my lifestyle. I have never stepped in a gym in my life, so The Lodge was a perfect setting for me and Matt made the experience relaxed, enjoyable and results-focused. We have a great relationship which makes the sessions even more enjoyable as Matt does not take himself too seriously. My goal was to lose weight, become stronger and improve my overall fitness.
